Interested in becoming an exhibitor at the 2012 Bay Area Paddlefest?
BAPF is taking place over the weekend of April 21-22 at Quarry Lakes Regional Park in Fremont, CA. This is the third annual BAPF, and is the largest on and off-water expo in California for canoes, kayaks, and SUPs. The event restarted 2 years ago after a multi-year hiatus. In its first year back, as with many first year events, attendance was light at around 260 people. Last year saw significant growth, with attendance doubling to over 500.
Our plan is to continue to grow the event for 2012! We are going to heavily promote it with ads in California Kayaker Magazine, Adventure Sports Journal, East Bay Express, on Facebook, using social media, posters in windows, Living Social and Zozi daily deals, etc.
Some notes:
- This is not a selling event. This event is meant to educate and inform the public. Vendors caught selling at the event will be kicked out, an excluded from future events.
- the event is sponsored and run by the California Paddlesports Council, a non-profit. Part of their charter is to promote paddlesports retail sales in California. As such, there is a requirement that only brands or products that are sold through paddlesports retailers in California can be displayed at BAPF.
