Where is the Bay Area Paddlefest?

Is there parking at Quarry Lakes?

  • Yes.  Parking costs $5 and is paid directly to Quarry Lakes upon entrance.  Quarry Lakes accepts cash and visa/mastercard.

Do I have to bring my own canoe/kayak?

  • No.  You do not need to bring equipment.  Canoes, kayaks & paddleboards are provided.
  • If you do bring your own canoe, kayak or paddleboard you will have to pay a launch fee and watercraft invasive species inspection fee directly to Quarry Lakes upon entrance.

Can I take BART?

  • Yes.  Get off at the “Fremont” BART Station located at 2000 BART Way, Fremont, CA  94536.  The BART station is approximately 3.5 miles from Quarry Lakes Regional Recreation Area.
  • Directions from BART:  Follow BART Way southeast and take the first right onto Walnut Ave.  Next, turn right onto Paseo Padre Parkway.  After 2.6 miles, turn right onto Isherwood Way (Isherwood Way turns into Quarry Lakes drive).  The Quarry Lakes entrance is .7 miles on the right.

Can I bring my dog?

  • Yes and No.  Dogs are allowed on a leash at Quarry Lakes Regional Recreation Area, but they are not allowed in the swim area, where the event is taking place.
